Shabu worth P6.8M seized from suspect in Sulu

COTABATO CITY — Anti-narcotic agents on Sunday arrested a high-value target, and seized from him P6.8 million worth of suspected shabu (crystal meth) during a drug buy-bust operation in Sulu.

Gil Cesario Castro, director of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), said they arrested “Alias Denz/Majs,” 32, a resident of Barangay Mananti, Luuk, Sulu and recovered in his possession a huge sachet of suspected shabu worth P6.8 million, a mobile phone, and the boodle money used in busting the suspect.

Castro said the accomplice of the suspect eluded arrest.

Charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are being prepared against the suspect.
