Fire out in Manila commercial area
MANILA, Philippines—Fire that gutted a commercial establishment in Manila has been put out, a Manila fire officer said Wednesday.
Senior Fire Officer 2 Marson Perez said the fire in a commercial establishment on Benavides Street in Sta. Cruz, Manila, started at 11:24 a.m. under second alarm, and was put out at 11:40 a.m.
The fire hit a certain restaurant located at the second floor of a still unidentified four-storey building in front of the Christian Academy School, Perez said, but added that the floor was just partially damaged.
There are still no reports on casualties or injuries reaching their office, he said, adding that investigators are still conducting post-fire investigations.
