Veco upgrades system following power outage

THE Visayan Electric Co. (Veco) assured consumers its system has stabilized following  power outages on  Monday.

Ethel T. Natera, Veco corporate communications manager, said they upgraded the distribution system after one  generator suffered an overload.

One of Veco’s diesel-powered plants in barangay Ermita, Cebu City, suffered an overload on  Monday noon and a major transmitter got hit by lightning last Sunday evening.

“If there’s a problem, we do something about it right away. Our priority is to restore power supply,” Natera said./Correspondent Jessa J. Agua
