Open Gov’t Partnership-Asia and the Pacific meeting begins in Manila

MANILA, Philippines — The three-day 2025 Open Government Partnership—Asia and the Pacific Regional Meeting (OGP-APRM) officially kicked off on Wednesday.

The regional meeting is being held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Taguig City from February 5 to 7.

It gathers local and international government leaders, policymakers across the region, and global and regional partners to exchange best practices on open government initiatives.

This is the first time that the Philippines is hosting the event.

An open plenary session will be conducted on Thursday, which President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, and other officials are expected to attend.

Among the activities are discussions on jail decongestion, climate resilience, corruption, and more.
