PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga del Sur — A joint operation of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Zamboanga Sibugay and the local police dismantled a drug den and arrested three suspects in Barangay Sanito, Ipil town, the province’s capital, on Thursday.

PDEA-9 regional director Maharani Gadaoni-Tosoc identified the three only as alias Tahir, 18, alias Joshua, 27, and alias Dan. Tahir and Joshua allegedly run the drug den while Dan was there to allegedly use illegal drugs.

Authorities confiscated approximately 12 grams of suspected meth, with an estimated market value of P81,600, packed in 20 plastic sachets.

Also seized at the scene were various drug use paraphernalia, including items used for repacking the illicit substance.

The three were temporarily detained at the Ipil municipal police station and will face charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
