London – Anna Mae Lamentillo, Founder of NightOwlGPT, has been named one of the Top 33 global leaders in responsible AI by She Shapes AI, a prestigious global initiative recognizing women at the forefront of ethical and inclusive artificial intelligence.

Lamentillo is the only Filipino to receive this distinction, joining an elite group of AI pioneers driving transformative innovations worldwide.

The selection was made by She Shapes AI’s Global Awards Council, which includes leading AI experts such as Prof. Angela Aristidou (University College London; Stanford Human-Centered AI Institute), Galit Ariel (Future Memory Inc.), Maria Axente (PwC), Sheena Bhalla (Module Xero; Aiforgood.asia), Claudia Del Pozo (Eon Institute), Ivana Feldfeber (DataGénero), Dr. Shikoh Gitau (Qhala), Susan McPherson (McPherson Strategies), Madhumita Murgia (Financial Times), Nnenna Nwakanma (UN Advisory Board on AI; HealthAI), and Gina Romero (Mettamatch). Candidates were evaluated based on their impact, leadership, and commitment to responsible AI across diverse industries and regions.

Lamentillo’s work with NightOwlGPT played a key role in earning this recognition. Incubated under LSE Generate, NightOwlGPT is an AI-driven desktop and mobile application focused on preserving endangered languages and bridging the digital divide in marginalized communities. By offering real-time translation, cultural competence tools, and interactive learning solutions, the platform safeguards linguistic heritage while ensuring global digital inclusivity. After a successful pilot in the Philippines, NightOwlGPT is expanding into Colombia, Ghana, Pakistan, and Nigeria as part of its mission to democratize AI technology for low-resource languages worldwide.
