MANILA, Philippines — Authorities last Jan. 10 arrested an individual for selling unlicensed firearms during an entrapment operation in Liloan, Cebu.

According to the National Bureau of Investigation on Thursday, Cebu District Office agents were able to purchase a KG9 submachine pistol for P23,000 from the suspect, identified as Brylle Alforque La Villa.

La Villa agreed to meet with the buyer near a bridge in Barangay Catarman, where he was then arrested for violation of the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.

Authorities were able to recover the marked money as well as the submachine pistol from La Villa.
