Cebu Landmasters Cup on July 24
A NEW AND IMPROVED basketball tournament awaits the alumni of the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu as the Sacred Heart Ateneo Alumni Basketball Athletic Association is set to kick off its 16th season dubbed the Cebu Landmasters Cup on July 24 at the SHS-AdC campus in Canduman, Mandaue City.
This was made known by SHAABAA president, Regan King, who graced the weekly SCOOP Forum yesterday at the Baseline Restaurant along with officials of the Cebu Landmaster as well as representatives from the different participating squads.
“The alumni can expect a very exciting year because of the different sporting activities we have lined up along with the basketball tournament,” said King.
Fourteen teams have already signed up for the competition but the president said that they are targeting a total of 16.
The teams that have given their go-signal are RDAK/Edcon, Kunstof UPCV Windows and Doors, Gaisano Capital, Istorya.net, Kia, Batch 2004-2005, A+ Structures, Japfa/Kiki’s Catering, San Remegio Beach Club, Filmon, Dyna Cast, Mixed Batch, Batch 2010 and the guest team, the faculty and staff of the SHS-AdC.
Aside from the basketball tournament, the SHAABAA will also have a badminton tournament that is open for all alumni. Correspondent Jonas Panerio
