MANILA, Philippines – Manila Water continues to extend its water network to 5,542.17 kilometers as part of its unrelenting efforts to reach and enhance its water services for more than 7.7 million customers in the East Zone of Metro Manila and Rizal.
The company built over 96 kilometers of pipeline between November 2023 and November 2024.
This expansion will support Manila Water’s network distribution from its new water source facilities such as the East Bay Water Supply System Phase 1 (50 MLD), Calawis Water Treatment Plant (80 MLD), and Cardona Treatment Plant (110 MLD).
“As the company makes significant investments in the construction of new water sources, it is imperative that these systems have a robust network distribution. In the end, this guarantees that our clients get the service they are entitled to,” Manila Water’s Communication Affairs Group Director Jeric Sevilla.

On the other hand, the water company has also made significant achievements in boosting its sewer network. From January to November of last year, the company has laid an additional 13.33 kilometers of sewer lines bringing the company’s total sewer network to 482.31 kilometers where 307,492 services are connected.
These lines will ensure that wastewater from customers is properly processed at Manila Water’s sewage treatment plants before its release to waterways.
