Pacquiao to hold free concert in Lapu-Lapu

WORLD boxing champion Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao will hold a free concert in the grand launching of the Hoopsdome Stadium in barangay Gun-ob, Lapu-Lapu City this Saturday.

Pacquiao will be with his MP band and composer Lito Camo. The concert is expected to start at 9 p.m.

Lapu-Lapu City Councillor Harry Radaza said they chose Paquiao to be their guest for the official launching of the P192-million stadium because he is “pang-masa.”

“We are not spending a single centavo sa iyang pagkanta but we will shoulder his airfare and accommodation together with his band,” Radaza said.

Radaza also said they will be inviting events and sports organizers to the launching to let them know that the dome is ready for use.

Pacquiao will arrive at the Mactan-Cebu International Airport around 3 p.m. on Saturday on board a private plane.   REPORTER JUCELL MARIE P. CUYOS
