MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and his wife First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos met and had dinner with several senators and their spouses on Monday.

A photo of the dinner was shared by the First Lady herself through Facebook on Tuesday.

“Dinner with senators and their spouses,” Liza said in the photo’s caption.

Liza also bared that the dinner was held at Bahay Pangulo, the first family’s official residence within the Malacañan Palace Complex in Manila.

Almost all senators were present at the dinner—with the exception of Senators Risa Hontiveros, Bato Dela Rosa, Bong Go, Grace Poe and the President’s sister, Imee.

It should also be noted that the dinner was held the same day as the Iglesia ni Cristo’s “National Rally for Peace” which was conducted seemingly in defense of Vice President Sara Duterte amid impeachment complaints, albeit with the church’s leadership insisting that it was non-political.
