MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) confiscated a total of P21.43-billion worth of dangerous drugs in 2024, the agency announced on Tuesday.
PDEA touted that its 2024 record was higher than the P16.24-billion worth of drugs it seized in 2023.

According to PDEA’s data from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31, 2024, the agency confiscated 3.09 tons or 3,090 kilograms of dried marijuana leaves and bricks; 2.55 tons or 2,550 kgs of shabu (crystal meth); 939.73 kgs of kush; 32.74 kgs of cocaine; and 66,540 pieces of ecstasy tablets.
Further, the agency said it conducted 38,545 operations in its anti-drug campaign in 2024, arresting 51,264 drug suspects.

“These substantial seizures are a testament to the government’s efforts to actively pursue high-level drug traffickers and organized criminal networks involved in the country’s illegal drug trade,” PDEA said in a statement on Tuesday.
“The enhanced inter-agency coordination and collaboration among concerned law enforcement agencies also remains a key factor in reducing illegal drugs in the streets,” the agency added.
