Cops arrest ‘high-value’ trafficker with P1.3-M shabu in Laguna

LUCENA CITY — Police seized more than P1.3 million worth of shabu (crystal meth) from an alleged “high value” drug trafficker in Siniloan town in Laguna province on Monday, Jan 13.

The Police Regional Office 4A (PRO-4A) reported on Tuesday, that alias “Marvin” was held by anti-illegal drugs operatives after he sold P12,000 worth of shabu to a poseur buyer in Barangay Wawa at 5:42 p.m.

The operatives confiscated from the suspect five plastic sachets and two knot-tied transparent ice bags containing shabu weighing 200 grams worth P1,360,000.

Police tagged the suspect as among the persons included in the police drug watch list as an “HVI” or high-value individual in the local drug trade.

HVI refers to financiers, traffickers, manufacturers, and importers of illegal drugs or leaders/members of drug groups.

The suspect is facing a complaint for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
