MANILA, Philippines — Metro Manila and parts of Luzon and Visayas will experience overcast skies and rains due to the easterlies and northeast monsoon on Tuesday, Jan. 14.
Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) specialist Chenel Dominguez said in a morning weathercast that Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon would experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon, locally termed amihan.
She also said the northeast monsoon will influence Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Bicol Region, Mimaropa, and Quezon atmospheric conditions.
“Inaasahan pa rin po nating makakaranas pa rin po ng patuloy na mga pag-ulan dito sa may Bicol Region, Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Mimaropa, pati na rin sa Quezon dulot po ito ng northeast monsoon,” Dominguez explained.
(Due to the northeast monsoon, we still expect continued rains in the Bicol Region, Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Mimaropa, and Quezon.)
