PNP revamp: 7 police officials get new assignments
MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police (PNP) implemented a reshuffle at the start of the year, affecting seven ranking officials.
PNP spokesperson Brigadier General Jean Fajardo said Monday that Area Police Commander in Visayas Maj. Gen. Robert Rodriguez has been assigned to lead the office of the PNP’s third-highest post –Deputy Chief for Operations – as acting officer-in-charge (OIC).
His promotion came after Lt. Gen. Michael John Dubria stepped down from the position in December 2024 as he reached the PNP’s mandatory retirement age of 56, according to Fajardo.

Brig. Gen. Jericho Baldeo of the PNP-Human Rights Affairs Office chief will now serve as OIC Directorate for Information and Communications Technology Management while Brig. Gen. Ramil Montilla of the Directorate for Police Community Relations has been designated as OIC of the Headquarters Support Service, according to an information sheet shared by Fajardo with members of the media.

Dionisio Bartolome Jr. of the Police Regional Office (PRO) in Region 11 (Davao Region) is now the deputy director for administration in PRO-7 (Central Visayas), while Brig. Gen. Roy Parena of PRO-7 has assumed as deputy director of the Directorate for Police Community Relations.
At the PNP Aviation Security Group, Brig. Gen. Christopher Abecia is now its OIC as its former head Brig. Gen. Christopher Abrahano has been assigned as OIC of PRO-Caraga.
