Sudden downpour causes floods in parts of Metro Manila
MANILA, Philippines—Several areas in Metro Manila were flooded after a sudden downpour Monday, a Metropolitan Manila Development Authority-Metrobase official said.
Emma Loristo said “gutter-level flash floods were monitored along EDSA-Magallanes, Makati City; Pasay City; Orense, Guadalupe; and EDSA-Zamora after heavy rains fell in parts of Metro Manila around 11:30 a.m.
“The flood in these areas was estimated to be around 6.8 inches high,” she said, but added that waters had subsided.—Jamie Marie Elona
