The incidents were recorded in Asturias town where the firework exploded on the victim’s face and in Talisay City where a 10-year-old child was hit by a “Goodbye Philippines” firecracker.

The Central Visayas Police Regional Office recorded a total of 14 firecracker-related injuries, according to Lieutenant Colonel Janette Rafter, spokesperson of Brigadier General Roy Parena, officer-in-charge of the regional police.

Rafter said two stray bullets were also monitored in Central Visayas: one in Tisa, Cebu City, where the victim sustained a minor wound, and another in Tagbilaran City, Bohol, where no one was hit.
