MANILA, Philippines — Portions of key roads in Makati City’s central business district will be closed starting Tuesday, December 31 until early Thursday morning, January 2, 2025 for the New Year’s Eve celebration along Ayala Avenue.
An advisory reposted by the local government of Makati advised the public that portions of Ayala Avenue, Paseo de Roxas and Makati Avenue will be closed to vehicular traffic until 4:00 a.m. on January 2 for the event and the post-event clean-up.
To ensure public safety in Makati and nationwide, the Philippine National Police (PNP) has mobilized and deployed 37,000 police officers for the New Year festivities.
Earlier, the PNP expressed readiness to provide security to the public as well as assist and respond to situations, including fire and firecracker-related incidents.
