Armed drug suspect caught in Antipolo City
LUCENA CITY — The police caught an armed drug pusher and seized P238,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) in a buy-bust operation in Antipolo City in Rizal province on Monday, Dec. 30.
The Region 4A police reported on Tuesday, Dec. 31, that anti-illegal drugs operatives nabbed “Babidi” at 3:50 p.m. after he sold P500 worth of shabu to a poseur buyer in Barangay (village) Banaba.
Confiscated from the suspect were three plastic sachets of shabu weighing 35 grams worth P238,000. The police also found him carrying an undocumented caliber .9mm pistol loaded with three bullets.
The suspect is on the police drug watch list as an HVI or high-value individual in the local drug trade. HVI refers to financiers, traffickers, manufacturers, and importers of illegal drugs or leaders/members of drug groups.
The suspect was placed under police custody and would face charges of violating anti-drug laws and another case for illegal possession of a firearm.
