CBCP denies asking Corona to step down

MANILA, Philippines — Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines President Jose Palma told Radyo Inquirer on Monday that they were not asking Chief Justice Renato Corona to step down.

He said that the Catholic Church remained impartial on the issue and that they believed that the senators would vote according to their conscience.
