THE Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc. (RAFI) Micro-finance held a recognition program for its Dumanjug branch clients last April 30 at Little Flower School in Dumanjug town, southwest Cebu.
During the event, RAFI’s clients of five to 10 years were given certificates and giveaways. The program was led by RAFI Micro-finance executive director Ma. Theresa Catipay.
There was also a raffle draw with prizes such as P3,000 cash for the first prize winner, P2,500 for the second prize winner, P1,500, third prize and 87 consolation prizes of P150 each.
There were also performances by the “green ladies” who are mothers from Barili managed by their trust staff head Antonio Salvador, and children led by Carmela Blanco, Client Advisory Board president.
“We are blessed with more than millions,” said Blanco in her speech. This line is a testament that RAFI Micro-finance is not only helping people financially but also touching their lives.
Blanco thanked RAFI Micro-finance for making possible the realization of her dreams. She established a ministry school that helps the youth strengthen their faith as Christians.
The event was also a celebration of the collaboration between RAFI Micro-finance and its client nanays (mothers).
The event was organized by RAFI Micro-finance Dumanjug branch led by Edward Butal.
The branch has been operating since April 2004 and is currently serving 838 active women micro-entrepreneurs from Malabuyoc, Alegria, Badian, Moalboal, Alcantara, Ronda, Dumanjug, Barili and Aloguinsan.
