Drug trafficker with toy gun arrested in Cavite

LUCENA CITY – Police arrested a suspected big-time drug trafficker with a toy gun and seized shabu (crystal meth) and marijuana worth over P145,000 in a buy-bust operation in Imus City, Cavite on Wednesday, Dec. 18.

Region 4A police reported on Thursday, Dec. 19, that anti-illegal drugs operatives collared “Co” after he sold shabu to an undercover cop in Barangay (village) Carsadang Bago 1 around 8:45 p.m.

Confiscated from the suspect were five plastic sachets containing shabu worth P102,000 and another sachet filled with high-grade marijuana or “kush” valued at P43,500.

The suspect was also found carrying a replica pistol with a magazine.

Police tagged Co as a high-value individual (HVI) in the local drug trade. HVI refers to financiers, traffickers, manufacturers, and importers of illegal drugs or leaders/members of drug groups.

Police are tracking the source of the illegal drugs being distributed by the suspect.

Co was detained and would face criminal charges.
