MANILA, Philippines — The motoring public may see another round of increases in the prices of gasoline and diesel next week, industry sources said.
Rodela Romero, assistant director of the Department of Energy-Oil Industry Management Bureau, said the per-liter price of gasoline may go up by 15 centavos to 45 centavos. Diesel prices may also inch up by 10 centavos to 40 centavos a liter.
Kerosene, meanwhile, is expected to have a slight price cut of 20 centavos to 30 centavos per liter.

In a separate advisory on Saturday, a forecast from Unioil showed even higher upward adjustments for gasoline and diesel, ranging from 50 centavos to 70 centavos per liter.
Romero said some developments that could have influenced oil price movements include the S&P Global Commodity Insights’ 2025 Energy Outlook, which stated that energy demand may jump by next year.
The ongoing geopolitical tension in the Middle East as well as the weak demand in China also continue to impact fuel prices in the global market. —Lisbeth K. Esmael
