Vice mayor’s office ransacked

The office of Caloocan Vice Mayor Egay Erice was ransacked on Thursday.

According to Erice, at around 9 a.m., a staffer found the door of his office at city hall open.

“It was as if the person who entered was looking for something,” he said.

Erice added that no valuables were missing although some documents had been taken from his desk.

“The 2,000 letters that I was supposed to send to barangay officials are gone,” Erice said.

The vice mayor earlier accused the city government of refusing to release the share of 188 barangays (villages) in the city’s real property and business tax collections.—Kristine Felisse Mangunay
