MANILA,  Philippines — A taxi turned upside down after hitting the barrier along a northbound flyover on Edsa in Quezon City early Tuesday.

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said in a report that the crash occurred around 4:55 a.m. at Edsa-Quezon Avenue’s northbound flyover because the taxi driver fell asleep while driving.

The condition of the driver remains unclear as of writing.

Traffic was “slow-moving” along the lane where the accident happened, according to the MMDA.

An MMDA ambulance and tow truck arrived at the scene.
