Pagasa: Metro Manila, 12 other areas to see cloudy skies, rain Dec 3

MANILA, Philippines — Metro Manila and 12 other areas nationwide are forecast to see cloudy skies and rain on Tuesday, Dec. 3, amid the dominance of the northeast monsoon and shear line.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the shear line would cause overcast skies with scattered rain showers and isolated thunderstorms in Metro Manila, Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Aurora, Nueva Ecija, Bulacan, Rizal, Quezon, and Kalayaan Islands.

Meanwhile, the northeast monsoon, locally termed amihan, would bring cloudy skies with rain to the rest of the Cagayan Valley and Cordillera Administrative Region and isolated light rains to the Ilocos Region, the state weather agency added.

He also said that Pagasa did not raise a gale warning over any seaboards of the country. Still, he advised coastal residents in Northern Luzon to take caution as moderate to rough sea conditions with wave heights ranging from 2.5 to 3.4 meters may occur due to the northeast monsoon.
