PDEA reports 2 gov’t employees nabbed in Bukidnon drug bust

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) arrested two individuals it claimed to be personnel of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) on Wednesday, Nov. 27.

In a report on Thursday, PDEA said its Bukidnon Provincial Office in Region 10 (Northern Mindanao) dismantled a drug den in Barangay Casisang, Malaybalay City, and arrested three individuals.

Authorities apprehended Venlijohn Adonis, 37, and Darryl Alima, 39, both of whom are said to be DENR personnel based in Valencia City and Manolo Fortich town, respectively.

They also arrested Vincent Adonis, 39, a private individual in Barangay Casisang.

According to PDEA, Venlijohn Adonis is a “priority drug personality.”

Ten grams of shabu (crystal meth) were confiscated, valued at P68,000.

The three suspects now face charges for violations of the Dangerous Drugs Act.

The DENR Central Office and Northern Mindanao Office have yet to respond to INQUIRER.net’s request for comment.
