Magnitude 4.3 earthquake jolts Pangasinan town
MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 4.3 earthquake hit Labrador town in Pangasinan on Tuesday afternoon, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported.
In its recent earthquake bulletin, Phivolcs said that the earthquake occurred east of Labrador, Pangasinan at 5:41 p.m. It was of tectonic origin and had a depth of focus of two kilometers (km).
Meanwhile, Phivolcs earlier raised the earthquake’s magnitude to 4.5 with a depth of focus of 10 km.

The agency likewise said that the earthquake’s strength was reported in the following areas:
Article continues after this advertisement- Intensity IV: Labrador, Sual, Alaminos City, Binmaley, and Lingayen, Pangasinan
- Intensity III: Bugallon, Bani and Bolinao, Pangasinan; Sta. Cruz, Zambales; Aringay, La Union
- Intensity II: Dagupan City, Infanta, Pangasinan; Bauang, Agoo, Fernando City, La Union; Baguio City
The agency also said that its scale recorded the earthquake’s instrumental intensities at the following areas:
- Intensity II: Dagupan City, Pangasinan
- Intensity I: Lingayen, Pangasinan; Masinloc, Zambales
There are no expected damages and aftershocks, Phivolcs added.
