MANILA, Philippines — Parts of Mindanao will experience heavy rains on Monday afternoon due to the effects of the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ), the state weather bureau said.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said areas in Caraga, Davao de Oro, and Davao Oriental will see moderate to heavy rains from Monday noon to Wednesday noon.
Meanwhile, Caraga and the entire Davao Region are forecast to experience similar rainfall conditions from Wednesday noon to Thursday noon.
Davao Region comprises Davao de Oro, Davao del Norte, Davao Oriental, Davao del Sur, Davao Occidental, and Davao City.
“Localized flooding is possible mainly in areas that are urbanized, low-lying, or near rivers,” the state weather bureau added.
