WITH the aim to disseminate timely and relevant information to the remote areas, the organization of information officers of city and municipal government units in Cebu opened a weekly radio program.

The one-hour radio program of Cebu Association of City and Municipal Public Information Officers (Caocampio) dubbed “Ang atong syudad ug lungsod karon” is aired at 11 a.m. every Saturday over Bantay Radyo dyDD 260 khz.

Financed by the contributions of local government units, the radio program tackles the best practices, developmental issues and other good news from the cities and municipalities in Cebu.

“Our goal is to inform the media and the public because according to Thomas Jefferson, the founding father of the U.S., an informed citizenry is the only true repository of public will,” said Carlo Duga-duga, president of Caocampio and main anchor of the radio program.
