Shabu worth P1.4M, gun seized in Rizal, Batangas, Quezon
LUCENA CITY — Police arrested six suspects in anti-illegal drugs operations on Wednesday, in Rizal, Batangas, and Quezon provinces.
The operations yielded more than P1.4 million worth of shabu (crystal meth) and an illegal firearm, the Region 4A police reported on Thursday.
The report said members of the police drug enforcement unit in Batangas City arrested “Dolores” at 10:33 p.m. after she sold P10,000 worth of shabu to an undercover police officer in Barangay Calicanto.
Seized from the suspect were 15 sachets containing shabu weighing 75 grams worth P510,000.
The suspect is classified as a high-value individual (HVI) in the illegal drug trade. HVI refers to financiers, traffickers, manufacturers, and importers of illegal drugs or leaders/members of drug groups.

Article continues after this advertisementThe suspect, also an “HVI”, was caught in alleged possession of three sachets of meth weighing 47 grams worth P319,600.
In Binangonan, Rizal police officers arrested “Mai” in a buy-bust operation around 7 a.m.
The cops caught the suspect, tagged as HVI, with eight sachets of meth weighing 57 grams worth P392,700.
The police also confiscated a motorcycle believed to have been used by the suspect in his illegal drug trade.
Policemen in Cainta, Rizal busted “Harold” and “Bisaya” in Barangay San Andres around 5:50 p.m.
The suspects, both identified as street drug pushers on the police watchlist, yielded seven sachets of shabu worth P102,000.
The cops also seized the suspect’s tricycle which they believed was being used in illegal drugs distribution.
Meanwhile, law enforcers in Quezon province held “Powen” in Barangay Barra in Lucena City at 9:06 p.m.
The suspect, also an HVI, was reportedly found in possession of shabu worth P122,400.
When frisked, the police also found the suspect allegedly carrying an undocumented caliber .45 pistol loaded with three bullets.
The lawmen also confiscated the suspect’s motorcycle during the operation.
All arrested suspects are under police custody and will face corresponding criminal charges.
