The PNPB, established in 1975 by late Senate President Gil Puyat and Atty. Francisco Ortigas, Jr. gathers the country’s leaders from government, business and the faith community to pray for God’s guidance for the future of the Philippines.

It is inspired by the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington, D.C. which was established in 1953 by President Dwight Eisenhower.

The event has grown into a global movement and is now observed in 175 countries worldwide.

The highlight of this annual event is the Annual Prayer Breakfast, which symbolizes unity and faith among top national leaders.
