Metro Manila malls offer free parking during Pepito’s onslaught

Law regulating parking fees sought

MANILA, Philippines — Three mall chains in Metro Manila offered free overnight parking for vehicles that will be stranded due to rains and flooding brought by Super Typhoon Pepito (international name: Man-yi), the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority said.

“Ang lahat ng malls ng SM, Ayala at Robinson’s sa Metro Manila ay papayagan ang libreng overnight parking para sa mga sasakyan sa gitna ng inaasahang pagbaha sa iba’t-ibang parte ng Kamaynilaan dahil sa matinding ulan na hatid ng bagyong #Pepito,” it said in a Facebook post.

(All SM, Ayala and Robinsons malls in Metro Manila will allow free overnight parking for vehicles amid the expected flooding in various parts of the metropolis due to heavy rain brought by Typhoon #Pepito.)
