Pagasa: Parts of Polillo, Calaguas islands still under Signal No. 5

MANILA, Philippines — Two areas remain under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 5 due to Super Typhoon Pepito (international name: Man-yi) as of early morning on Sunday, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

As of 5 a.m., the state weather bureau said the eastern portion of Polillo Islands (Patnanungan, Jomalig) and Calaguas Islands are under TCWS No. 5.

As of 4 a.m., Pepito was last seen 85 kilometers northeast of Daet, Camarines Norte.

It was packing maximum sustained winds of 185 kilometers per hour (km/h) near the center with gustiness of up to 255 km/h. Pepito was moving west northwestward at 15 km/h.
