Diesel price up by P2.10 per liter starting Tuesday

MANILA, Philippines — Motorists should brace for another round of fuel price hikes this week as oil companies will impose increases ranging from P1.20 to P2.10 per liter starting Nov. 12.

In separate advisories, Seaoil, PetroGazz, Shell Pilipinas, and Caltex said the prices per liter of diesel would go up by P2.10, gasoline by P1.50, and kerosene by P1.20.

In a statement last week, Rodela Romero, Department of Energy Oil Industry Management Bureau director, said the market recorded an increase in oil prices as Hurricane Rafael hit the United States, which could temper the region’s output. —Lisbet K. Esmael
