Pasig River Ferry ops suspended due to Typhoon Nika – MMDA

MANILA, Philippines — The operations of all Pasig River stations were suspended on Monday due to Typhoon Nika (international name: Toraji), according to the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA).

The MMDA said there will be no ferry operations since Metro Manila is under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1.

“Pinaaalalahanan ang lahat na mag-ingat at manatiling nakaantabay sa ating Facebook page para sa iba pang mahahalagang anunsyo,” the agency said in a Facebook post.

As of 8 a.m., the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said Nika was last located over the coastal waters of Dilasag, Aurora.

The typhoon packs maximum sustained winds of 130 kilometers per hour (kph) with gusts reaching 180 kph.
