Nika forces evacuation in Aurora due to intense rains, winds
CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — Aurora Gov. Rey Tolentino said Monday that intense rains and strong winds had been battering Dilasag, a northern town in the province, as Typhoon Nika (international name: Toraji) moved closer to land.
Nika is anticipated to make landfall in nearby Isabela province.

Tolentino confirmed that preemptive evacuations began Sunday night for residents along the coasts and hillsides to ensure safety ahead of the typhoon’s arrival.
