LIST: Class suspensions on Nov. 11 due to Tropical Storm Nika
MANILA, Philippines — Classes were suspended in many parts of the country on Monday, November 11, due to Tropical Storm Nika (international name: Toraji).
Based on the state weather bureau’s 8 p.m. bulletin, two Luzon areas were placed under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 3 as Nika intensified on Sunday afternoon.
Meanwhile, 11 areas were placed under TCWS No. 2 and 17 areas are under TCWS No. 1.
The tropical storm is forecast to reach the typhoon category within the next several hours.
