MANILA, Philippines—Lauro Vizconde refuses to give up the fight despite the lapse of the 20-year prescription period on the murders of his wife and daughters.

“I’m still hoping for a miracle to happen,” the 72-year old widower said. “The fight is not over.”

Asked to elaborate, Vizconde said he believed more concerned citizens will approach the National Bureau of Investigation to strengthen claims made by new witnesses that Hubert Webb was really in BF Homes at the time of the murders.

“I did not expect the existence of the magnetic tape yet there it was to prove what I believed all along. That’s why I’m optimistic about finding more witnesses. Hopefully, if they surface, public pressure will snowball and I will finally get the justice I am looking for,” he added.
