Navotas, Valenzuela raids yield P583,000-worth of drugs; 4 arrested

MANILA, Philippines — Navotas and Valenzuela City police arrested four individuals and seized drugs worth a total of P583,000 in separate operations, the National Capital Region Police Office’s Northern Police District (NCRPO NPD) announced on Friday.

The buy-bust operation in Navotas City apprehended an alias “Jayson”, 43, and an alias “Matey”, 28, along Goldrock Street in Barangay San Roque at 11:33 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 7.

Authorities seized 56.17 grams of suspected shabu (crystal meth) estimated to be worth P381,956.

NPD said the two suspects were high-value individuals, both of whom were unemployed Navotas residents.

In another part of the district at 12:35 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 8, operatives arrested an alias “Rey” and an alias “Nano”, both 28, along San Francisco Street in Barangay Karuhatan, Valenzuela City.

Recovered from the scene were six heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets said to be containing shabu estimated to be worth at least P201,000.

According to the NPD, the suspects were only street-level, with one being a tricycle driver from Valenzuela City and the other being an unemployed Bulacan province resident.

Drug-related charges are being prepared against all four arrested, NPD said.
