DOH reports dip in dengue case fatality rate for 2024
The case fatality rate (CFR) for dengue has gone down this year, down to 0.26 percent per 100 cases as of Oct. 26, compared to 0.34 percent in 2023, the Department of Health (DOH) reported on Thursday.
“This is likely attributed to better health-seeking practices and improved health care delivery,” the DOH said.
As of October, a total of 314,785 dengue cases nationwide have been reported although the numbers have been going down.
