LIST: Luzon areas to have moderate to torrential rains from Nov. 6-8

MANILA, Philippines — Some areas in Luzon will experience moderate to torrential rains from Wednesday to Friday, Nov. 6 to 8, due to Typhoon Marce (international name: Yinxing), according to the state weather bureau.

In its 5 p.m. heavy rainfall advisory, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that “flooding and rain-induced landslides are likely, especially in areas that are highly or very highly susceptible to these hazards.”

Pagasa said that Marce maintained its strength over Cagayan waters as it still sustained maximum wind speed of 150 kilometers per hour (kph) and gustiness of up to 185 kph. It was last spotted east of Aparri, Cagayan, slowly moving westward.
