Fighters for Ground and Pound VI card bared

GROUND and Pound VI: Invincible card organizer and CEO of YawYan ArDigma Master Benigno “Ekin” Caniga Jr. has revealed some of the fighters who will be waging war on July 14 at the New Cebu Coliseum.

Leading the cast are the founders of two martial arts clubs in Cebu, Soma Kick Boxing Club’s Allan “The Dancing Man” Epile who will fight Sensei Ben “Durex Warrior” Torbiso of the Durex Dragon Kick Boxing Club.

Epile is a former bantamweight kick boxing champion in Cebu while Torbiso is a two-time champion in the first World Karate Tournament in 1974 which was hosted by Cebu. For Epile and Torbiso, losing will never be an option as they gun for an emphatic win to give pride and glory to their respective clubs.

“This will be an epic bout between two known founders of kick boxing clubs in Cebu. Aside from Epile and Torbiso, I am also featuring an explosive MMA fight card featuring Cebu’s young MMA and YawYan ArDigma warriors,” said Caniga Jr.

Also fighting in the card are former boxer turned Muay Thai fighter from the Bullet Fighting System, Alde “Pitbull” De Soza (2-1) who will battle the undefeated Jonathan “Mata de Leo” Esquierdo (3-0) of Team MUMMA Cagayan De Oro in the 140-149lbs division.
