MANILA, Philippines — The Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) will be on heightened alert from October 31 to November 5 to ensure passenger safety during Undas, the Department of Transportation said on Tuesday.
MRT-3 General Manager Oscar Bongon said additional security and station personnel will be deployed at various stations, with coordination in place with the Philippine National Police for police assistance desks.
Maaari ding magreport ng anumang security concern sa mga police assistant desks,” he added, as quoted in an advisory.
(MRT-3 operations will continue throughout Undas. We ask all passengers to follow security protocols on trains and at stations to ensure a safe journey. Our security personnel, commuter welfare personnel, and station staff are ready to assist travelers. Passengers can also report any security concerns at the police assistant desks.)
