In an advisory Tuesday, Oct. 29, Mayor Ester Hamor ordered the suspension of classes from kindergarten to secondary levels after the state weather bureau raised Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 over the northeastern portion of the province.

Schools in the city resumed classes on Monday as Hamor lifted the suspension, citing the “improved weather condition.”

In its 5 a.m. bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said Leon was situated 645 kilometers east of Tuguegarao City in Cagayan, moving in a northwestward direction. INQ
