4,000 cops to secure preparation for 'Undas' in Central Luzon

OLONGAPO CITY — Central Luzon police have mobilized nearly 4,000 personnel to oversee security preparations for “Undas” (All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day) at cemeteries, memorial parks, and columbaria across the region.

In a statement, Brigadier General Redrico Maranan, Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) director, said he was overseeing the deployment, which is part of the “Ligtas Undas 2024” security initiative.

PRO3 has also coordinated with force multipliers and emergency response teams to ensure visible and efficient security.

Additional inspections are being conducted at bus terminals to safeguard travelers heading to their provinces.

Police personnel will remain deployed starting Tuesday (Oct. 29) through Nov. 4 to secure the public during the observance of Undas.
