Kristine’s damage to seaports reaches about P110 million – DOTr

MANILA, Philippines — Approximately P110 million worth of damage to seaports was left following the onslaught of Severe Tropical Storm Kristine (international name: Trami), Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista said on Monday.

Meanwhile, no major damage was reported in the country’s airports.

“We’re estimating around a hundred to a hundred ten million pesos in damage doon sa mga seaport natin,” Bautista said in a press briefing.

Bautista also noted all seaports and airports in the country are now open.

Kristine left 97 people dead and six million people affected, based on the latest report from the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council.

It exited the Philippine area of responsibility on October 25.
