MANILA, Philippines — Severe Tropical Storm Kristine (international name: Trami), which struck the Philippines on October 24, was one of the deadliest storms to hit the Southeast Asian country this year.
As of Sunday, the death toll from the storm has reached 100, with officials warning that the count may rise.
Among the hardest-hit areas are the Bicol region and Calabarzon, where massive flooding and multiple deaths have been reported.
