Over 10,000 residents evacuated in Quezon City due to Kristine

MANILA, Philippines — Over 10,000 individuals were evacuated in Quezon City, according to the local government on Friday morning, due to Severe Tropical Storm Kristine (international name: Trami).

The Quezon City government said that 10,019 individuals, or 2,833 families, in 41 barangays were moved to 60 evacuation centers in the city as of 11 a.m. on Friday, October 25.

Those affected by Kristine were sheltered in the following evacuation centers:

District 1

District 2

District 3

District 4

District 5

District 6

Metro Manila is under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) as of 11 a.m. on Friday.

Pagasa had forecast Kristine to exit the Philippine area of responsibility by Friday afternoon or evening.
