Philippine Air Force to acquire fighter planes, choppers

MANILA, Philippines—The Philippine Air Force will have an upgrade by acquiring new planes this year, Lt. Col. Miguel Okol, PAF spokesperson, told Radyo Inquirer in an interview early Thursday.

This revelation was made after clarifying that PAF, together with the Philippine Navy, is still conducting search operations at the wreckage site of the training plane that crashed off the waters of Mariveles, Bataan on May 18, 2012.
